Does QuickTable support international datatypes like nvarchar?
I see blank cells in my table when I try to view tables with n
datatypes.

Also, does the demo prevent me from actually inserting/updating rows
into my my tables? I can see the changes on QuickTable, but not in the
actual table on the database.

I haven't tested quicktable with nvarchar. Since nvarchar is just a String object it should work. I will try to test it & let you know. In the mean time , Please make sure your jdbc driver supports nvarchar. may be the problem is there.

Regarding the samples not updating data to database, Unless the insertSql/deleteSql/UpdateSql is set for quicktable, the changes won't be updated. Only the CustomerOrderDemo.java & AddModifyDeleteTable.java has these sqls set, all others don't have it. so only these two demos will update to database. Also please run the MSAccess version of demo rather than the SimpleText driver demo. QuickTable free version doesn't have any feature limitation, it has everything which the buy version has.

Thanks for your answers.

I was using the JDBC-ODBC bridge which yielded the blank table values. I have a different JDBC driver and now the nvarchar values show up.

I also added an insertSql statement, which works well. I think I'll need to have an update listener like you suggested to someone else because the primary keys will be updated.

Thanks!
