while runing a typical QBE in dbTable, I have observed that data displayed by dbTable is not the same as when I run the same QBE directly against the database.

dbTable displays the correct data when I pass a resultset from the QBE using the dbTable.refresh(myResultSet) method, the only problem here is that my dbTable.setUpdateSQL does not work.

Please help.
I am running version QuickTable 2.0.5

Thanks

I don't see any reason why the data from query is different from resultset. are you sure you are connecting to same database/table? Is the query complex? when you say the data is not same, what is different?

Can you enable debug and check whether updateSql is executed while using resultset

I did a bit more debugging and I can now get the update to work using resultSets
I found out that the dbTable.setUpdateSQL method has to be called after the dbTable.refresh(myResultSet)
--------------
The problem with the returned rows still exists, my resultset above is selecting from a database view in the database I see all the rows that meet my QBE criteria (5 records) but when I pass the resultset to dbTable I see all rows(6 records).

Initially I thought this was because one of the columns is a comboBox, I took it out and I still get the result.

Any help will be great, I am kinda stuck

If you could send me the code for both cases, I would be happy to look into this problem. Please send me the full query also.
